Two affordable housing developments led by The Michaels Organization have received approval from Voorhees Township, marking another step in meeting the municipality’s affordable housing requirements under the Mount Laurel doctrine.
On August 11, the Township Committee voted to support the first phase of Michaels’ redevelopment at 600 Centennial Boulevard, the former L&L Redi Mix concrete plant site adjacent to the post office. Plans call for 60 family rental apartments, with the resolution enabling Michaels to pursue financing through the New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency.
These projects, along with another nearing completion on Haddonfield-Berlin Road, reflect the Township’s commitment to expanding access to affordable housing opportunities.
