The developer of the Springhill Suites hotel in Voorhees initially planned to add retail and commercial space on the six-acre parcel but has shifted to a 116-unit active senior condominium building instead.
Voorhees Hotel Associates of Horsham, PA, received zoning approval for a use variance with bulk variances from the Zoning Board of Adjustment on July 11, with the resolution adopted on August 8, as residential use was not originally permitted on the site. The project will still require preliminary and final major site plan approvals from the board.
