Plans are moving forward for a retail development near the Turnersville AutoMall in South Jersey. The project may include retail space, a Kia dealership, and a potential residential component.
The phased development, known as the Shoppes at Turnersville, is planned across approximately 36 acres. The site is located along Black Horse Pike near the Atlantic City Expressway.
The initial phase involves an 11.5-acre property at 3940 Black Horse Pike. Closing is expected within 30 days. Construction is expected to begin in January.
A second phase is planned on an adjacent 25-acre property at 4050 Black Horse Pike. The site is currently under agreement.
The first phase will redevelop a vacant former auto dealership site. A 46,500-square-foot facility is planned for Turnersville Kia. The dealership will relocate from 2900 Black Horse Pike.
The land for the Kia dealership will be sold to the automobile manufacturer. Acquisition and sale prices were not disclosed.
